Marbles Museum

No class today, we just headed to the museum with a few friends to check out the new section they just opened up! For the last 2 months they have been updating the large preschool area downstairs. They put in new carpet and painted it all. It looks great!
Grace had fun playing at the new train tables they set up!
The car has always been a favorite, but today there was a new background to check out. I could not get her to look at me. She was so fascinated. :)
She still loves the back of the ambulance. Today a little girl helped bring her back to life. (Her favorite part is getting shocked.) figures. hehe
Waiting for something, she just kept saying "pleeeeease"
When no one came she got to work saving a few babies that happened to be on board. She would put the paddle on their bellies and shack it. She so cracks me up!
Come on babies, you are all better now!
They still had an area set up with tables for station learning. We practiced picking up the bugs with tongs.
We also drew on the etch a sketch. I love how when she gets serious about coloring she always lays her head down, almost as if she can't color and support her head at the same time. So much work.
Grace's buddies Ella and Megan were there too! I

We found an ocean room that had always been there but I never knew about. There were ocean animals and bubbles to stand on. Henry is making sure Grace is doing alright. hehe
The new farm section and an animal noise maker. Push the button and hear the animal sound. As you can imagine this was a serious favorite.
There was also a new section with small balls. G is so fiercely independent. She just walks up and begins playing, I love that about her.
She fed some horses in the little stable area. They were very thirsty!
We took a break for a yummy lunch. PB and honey, cantaloupe, watermelon, and peppers! (raisins and almonds for Grace too) She ate it all.
Uncle Taylor joined us for lunch. It is always so nice with Tay Tay comes. Around lunch time Mommy realizes she is exhausted from keeping a close watch over my tiny, always moving, munchkin. Its the perfect chance to another pair of eyes to take over! Thanks Taylor :)
The balanced on the surf board.
And lifted heavy weights. WOW she is strong! :)
We also built some lego towers with Henry. Mostly Grace knocked towers over, but she did  manage to help with a few pieces.

Henry and Grace shot some hoops and Grace even had a slam dunk! (Good thing they have a tiny basketball hoop, such a great idea!)
Finally Taylor and Grace played on the submarine. Grace really loves pushing all the "real" buttons. So glad we got to spend 3 hours exploring this great space.

Best Sunday Ever

I try to make everyday an amazing day for my daughter, but this Sunday was by far one of my favorite days. Perhaps it was because we were surrounded by family and friends, but mostly because I was with Grace and her Daddy all day long!
First up, swimming with Mimi and Boppy. Grace had her first swim lesson! :) hehe.
Mimi showed Grace how to use alternating arms. She quickly picked up on it, one arm goes, then the other. My mini genius. :)
 Keep going G!
The water was still on the cooler side so we had to get out and let G warm up!
We traded glasses for a little bit. hehe
G found goggles and she loved them! The whole world was aqua.
After swimming we had an amazing lunch made with local and organic products yum! I should have taken a picture of it. I did however get a picture of dessert. Strawberry shortcake. YUM YUM!
I love watching G eat. Everything is in groups, all the whip cream. Then all the cake. And finally all the strawberries.
She even liked that plate clean, literally. :)
Clean up time! Good thing we ate on the patio, we hosed it off and Grace helped by splashing in the water. (Notice this is the 3rd set of clothes she had on)
Boppy showed her how to make a footprint by sticking her wet foot on the ground and moving it away. WOW, you mean that is my foot??
G was passed out before we even got home.
After nap time, which lasted 3.5 hours, we headed to Pullen Park.
We had some ice cream when we first got there. More delicious desserts. (notice the 4th outfit of the day) hehe
Then we got to ride on our first ever train! We pointed out people, kites, geese, water, rocks, it was amazing. Grace could not believe that you can actually ride on a chooo chooo!

 Wave Grace!
Next up a riding a boat around and around with Grace's friends. They were so cute all steering the boat as it went around the circle.
There they go! I could not believe Grace stayed seated the entire time. She did such a great job obeying Mommy.
 Hi Grace!
Swings were next. I thought this girl was going to fall asleep while we pushed her. It had been a very exciting day. :)
 Family shot!
We had a picnic dinner outside the carousel house. Grace was very interested in the building and kept wandering over there to see what it was all about.
We had sandwiches, cantaloupe and watermelon.
After dinner we went on the carousel ride. It has been 6 months since we went on here the first time. Last time we rode the stationary animals because we weren't sure how she would do. This time we rode moving ones! Not only did we go around and around but we also went up and down. The picture is a little dark, but wow it was fun! and fast!
Finally we finished up by going down the slide. She is really quite the independent little slider now.
Weeeeeeeeeee! I am so proud of this munchkin. What a perfect day. :)

A girl and her Daddy

I love watching these two. It is such a gift to have a husband who is not only an amazing husband but also an amazing dad.
 Flying Grace!
Headed off to church. She just loves holding his hand.
Daddy's even supply the best ice cream! Wow, they are amazing. :)
