Marbles Museum week 2

Love, love, love the ideas that we get at our Toddler Together Marbles Classes! Here is the sensory table this week. It was filled with sand and dinosaur bones. The kids and paintbrushes to sweep away the sand and sifters. G came back many times to this table!

The Messy Station had paint this week. G smeared her hand in it. We made a couple of shapes in the paint, but mostly she watched the other kids get messy.

I loved this idea! They had a large sheet over a table. Under the table was farm animals and flashlights. G was obsessed with the flashlight and shining it on the bottom of the table and wall.
It was also really fun to find a quiet dark space to explore.

Dot Paint! Always a favorite at our house too. G spends about as much time on the painting as she does screwing the cap on and off, on and off. I love how her little brain is wired.

And we have building! This station is there every time we go and yet I have never seen this child actually build up. Many times I have seen her knock over, but today we actually enjoyed the building part. I flipped over one of the baskets so the space would be higher for her and she loved it. I wonder if she just doesn't like bending over while she builds? I will have to test this theory again at home!

 Lunch in the gift shop!
The are renovating part of Marbles for the next month so they have opened some special rooms that are not normally up. Wow G had so much fun exploring the 2-5 year old room (shhh don't tell... we are close enough right?) There were these great foam pieces! She loved watching the other kids work and trying to help.
It was also beautiful by the time we left so this girl enjoyed heading out into the garden area. Next time I will leave more room to let her explore this space more, but 12 oclock was upon us and this girl needs her nap!
