Memorial Day

What a busy day we had indeed! First off we got several more trees removed. One of the bigger trees in the back did not come back so while they were taking care of the potential safety hazard we had them take out a couple additional trees, including the magnolia in the front. We loved the flowers the magnolia had, but honestly we rake sooo many leaves in the fall that we were tired of raking magnolia leaves in the spring. Yes it looses all its leaves after all the other trees. Here is the before picture.
Grace pretty much went from one activity to another throughout the day. The trees pretty much took all day! First was reading books.
 Then we had bubble time!

We caught her in Daddy's office typing a couple emails! We loved how she would look at the paper on the left and then type just like we do! hehe
Mommy and Grace met Mimi and Boppy at the park!
Riding a motorcycle like a big girl.
 Through the tunnel.

 Swinging with Boppy.
Down the big slide with Mommy. She went down 2 or 3 times all by herself! I couldn't believe it. This was the first time down the slide, Grace was way more ready them Mommy was to be an independent slider!
More swings.... aren't they the best!

I have loved every stage so far, but oh this little face, I just want her to stay this size forever!
 Water break.
Mommy and Grace. This one was a two seater bouncey car.

This picture makes me realize how close we are to leaving toddlerhood and entering childhood. I can see a first grader walking away through that tunnel. How precious these moments are.
While we were at the park the guys were still working! Here they are up in the tree.
 See him way up there???
Down goes the magnolia in the front.
For dinner we went to Chilis! Yum!
Grace is starting to get into restaurant coloring, thank goodness! She focuses down and gets to work.
After dinner we stopped by Mimi and Boppy's and Grace had her first scratched up knee. She fell chasing Uncle Taylor down the sidewalk. There was some sadness but she handled it like a champ. Oh and we realized we need some cool band aids, better get on that. :)
And the after shot of the house from the front. I love how open it looks without the magnolia. It sure is a great house for our family. <3
