Take advantage of local free activities. We happen to live near several great colleges in North Carolina and often the different schools provide awesome fun days for kids and usually they are free! Today we went to NC State's Farm Days were kids get a chance to see farm animals up close! While listening to someone talk about cows G got a kick out of raising her hands with the students to ask a question. hehe.
Seeing baby chicks for the first time. WOW!She just keep looking at me and going "neigh?" Yup G! That is a real horse!
Moo Moo Moooooooo! We stood here the longest. I think we could have stayed there all day. Several groups of children came and went while we still watched the cows.
Little miss independent needed no stroller today! This girl was walking... but holding with a death grip onto my hand in all the crowds of people. Good that she shows some sign of not wanting to be lost. :)
My farmer girl.
Straw! She would pull it out and snap it in half.
And finally sheep! She loved seeing the sheep/pigs/goats at the end. But by this point one hour into fighting the crowds and starring at animals she began saying "all done" and you know what, this mama was too. We had a great time but even though we had planned to stay and picnic with some friends we packed up and headed home. Sometimes its ok just to let your little person be done for the day.
